Continuation of Anime DiD sketch...Pencil & Paper.
We last saw via Onegai Help Us!, that when Mizuho came back from the teacher's room to give some extra help to Natsumi Mizuki, she found that Natsumi had been tied up and gagged on the floor, and then Mizuho herself got jumped by the same hooded foe and wound up being hogtied on the floor! And in How about some Ping Pong? we wondered if Mizuho would be able to help Natsumi avoid some discipline...
Well Mizuho isn't having a good time; with Marie still out cold and her hogtie completed, Mizuho also finds herself gagged like Natsumi. Give her credit: our other-worldly teacher is trying to help her (!!!) but the hogtie is too tight and her fingers just can't reach any of the knots! Will she suffer the same fate as her student or does our villain have something else in store for her???
This is effectively part 3 of this sequence, and sorry for the long lead-in but I felt it was necessary
Here is a more detailed description:
Mizuho: I was pretty happy with my first attempt at her but I wanted to remain consistent. Also since she is one of my favorite Anime characters (all around) that gave me additional incentive. I did some study work on her teaching outfit, and I hope that between that and her hair (which took me a while) it looks good. As much as I love hogties, I keep trying to find slightly new viewpoints to present them - here I was hoping to convey her rolling slightly and turning her head to try and look behind at her ropes, but I settled on closing her eyes due to the assumed struggling she is doing. This is also the first time I have drawn a hand with visible fingernails.
Scene: Once again as in the last one, I concentrated on fleshing out the classroom and showing the correct viewpoint while trying to keep all aspects similar. It came off ok, but I think I still need perspective work. I considered having a sound balloon coming from the front (bottom) of the scene here with a yelp or a "spank!" sound, but I decided just to show the Ping Pong balls in proximity so that you can figure out where and what is happening "off camera".
Looks like the bad dude with the metal shoulder plates has our two school-based cuties completely helpless...doesn't anybody out there want to save them???
This...is a HELL of a work. There's only a couple critiques I can think of. Her head looks like it could do with being just a natz larger, and her hand - while technically well done - seems to be coming from behind her back at just slightly too awkward an angle for it to reasonably be tied there.
But everything else just blows me away. Little details like her face and the ping-pong balls really make it come alive. I can take or leave hogties and I'm not really familiar with the character, but I'm faving this bad boy anyhow. You've earned it.
Mizuho's hair, even in that style, takes up a lot of space...I was worried if I made the head too big the hair would make it look disproportionate to the rest of her body.
As for the hand, I actually have seen a few photos of a similar viewpoint and position before where you could see a little bit of one struggling hand...I dunno how they do it, but it must be possible.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant.
