Duo DiD sketch by request. Pencil & Paper.
Lacus Clyne & Meer Campbell decided to meet together to discuss a foundation for lasting peace using their combined influence at an undisclosed hotel. However, some thugs were out to kidnap Lacus for ransom and intercepted her at the meeting point...or so this one thought. He actually caught Meer Campbell instead, and thinking she was Lacus, hogtied and gagged her to await further orders. But then Lacus shows up for the meeting, finds Meer completely helpless, and gets jumped before she can do anything about it! Now the thug has both of them as he ponders what to do about this *bonus* as he tightens the last knots of Lacus' hogtie, and although Meer is struggling against her knots, they are simply too tight and out of her reach. What will this creep do with them??? Excuse the long setup as it was necessary. This picture was a request by Gundamvid which started out as an idea to bring together some Gundam gals with influence to discuss peace talks and the meeting gets crashed. After some discussion, we settled on this variation. Take a look: Disclaimer: I really know very little about the whole Gundam series, characters, plot, etc. I did learn some by doing this, but I felt it would be good to step outside of my comfort zone and try some characters I didn't know. Forgive any obvious series and continuity mistakes I made on the girls. Lacus Clyne: She looked pretty cute to me, and I liked the design and the kunoichi ninja girl style outfit, of which you have seen me do before with the likes of Racheal from 'Martial Champion'. I had to go with that outfit anyway to try and keep things fresh as both of these gals really do look almost identical. The idea was for her to be the 2nd capture. I had some good references but the biggest challenge was the hands (nice gloves!) and the style of boots. Meer Campbell: Meer does have some notable differences, but the best way for me to show the differentiation was to go with the most different outfit from Lacus...thankfully I had some references to go with this futuristic style dynamic attire. I had to alter the crossed arms behind her back due to the oversized design of the gloves too. I did try to use some artful billowing of the bottom half "skirt-like" thing she wears. Thug: I originally had a suave villain planned, but then I drew the hat and got the idea for cheap punk, complete with wife-beater shirt, tattoos, & facial scrub. I did have to re-do the position of him kneeling while doing "his job" a few times to get it looking more realistic. Scene: Just a hotel room...I didn't put too much into this, but I hope it comes off adequate. Gimme a holler on this one - how is it?!? - JC |

The setting is good and you've handled the hogtie positions nicely. I do worry about that kidnapper, though...if I'm not mistaken, he's missing an entire joint/forearm on his left (our left, his right) arm, leaving his hand connected where his elbow should be.
That aside, I think this is some excellent work, as usual. Nice capturing of expressions as always. Tsk, poor girls...someone should come and rescue them. At some point.
