What a devilish plot! Daisy, Peach, and Zelda have all been kidnapped and are now tied to the posts for a Princess Auction!!! All three are completely helpless as the bidding begins...what will happen next???
I bet a bunch of you were wondering where Peach had gone to after a string of sketches I have done without her, but now's your chance...bid high, bid often! XD
Here are my cliff notes for this one:
I had so many requests to feature all 3 Princesses again since my Failed Rescue Attempt sketch that I couldn't resist. Thanks to works by SozokuReed I decided that a bidding scene would be able to "tie" all three together.
Daisy: I wanted Daisy to be struggling like mad to get free, and I tried to show that by her twisting and turning...I think it looks true. I differed her from Peach's look once again with the standard hair and dress differences.
Peach: The centerpiece as usual, I tried a few new things with her this time; I think my time not drawing her has altered my take a bit, mainly in reducing her huge bangs a bit and changing her eyes slightly. As the center damsel, I also knew I had to pose her almost complete standing straight up to allow enough "room" on the block.
Zelda: BIG thanks goes out to Maga-Link and THIS beautiful drawing of Zelda, as I used that dress' characteristics liberally since Zelda always has a lot of fashion detail. After that hurdle, I made Zelda once again the most despondent of the 3, with the despairing look at Peach and the lack of struggling in her ropes. I also had to have her almost a side view with the post, yet still tied to it, and so I hope I got the spacing correct.
Scene: I don't get my creativity sometimes. This time the background gave me no end of trouble, as once I got the platform going, I couldn't figure out what to do with the rest. I settled on a good old school theme, some big electronic boards, and the identifying signs in front of the Princesses. I also attempted to make a stairway on the side...I am not 100% happy with it, but I am letting it slide.
How does everyone feel about this one? Let me know!
Heh heh, pretty creative backstory. I think you did all right with the background here. It's a lot better than most of my backgrounds, that's for sure. XD Spacing looks all right too, IMO. All in all, another very nice sketch from you.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
