Anime/Cartoon DiD sketch; Paper & Pencil and Photoshop COLOR.

For all those that enjoyed Lotor's capture of Allura in his den, with her in a tight hogtie, and no apparent hero interference, in black & white, well, this one is for you...IN TECHNICOLOR! :D

Despite the fact that I have other sketches that have quite a few more :+fav:s than this one, that I SHOULD have colored first, I just couldn't resist this one. I mean, seriously, how much Voltron/GoLion DiD is out there, really? *crickets* I didn't think so.

JC's genuine notes:

Price Lotor/Sincline: I realized as I was cleaning up this sketch in prep for color, that I didn't make him quite as wide as he should have been, but even still, he looks as menacing and lovestruck as ever. I didn't do anything special color-wise, but I will not that I didn't highlight his face...seems in the show he was always either solid, or cast in shadow. That helmet is still kickass, though.

Princess Allura/Fala: Can't get much better than a Princess, in a pink dress, and in a hogtie. Well, maybe it can, but not that I can think of in this scenario. What was even more interesting about her dress is that it is three-tone pink. For those of you that really like your girls to be girls, here you go. The most demanding work I did for her was her eyes and mouth - both of which I put more detail in during the coloring process then the sketch could do. Now that her hair is colored, I think there might be something weird about it, but I can't put my finger on it.

Lotor's "Pad": I truly went for a mix of contemporary and futuristic here. I spent a lot of time with shading and textures, and I think it came out well, especially the monitor. Note that I didn't double the line art layer this time, because I think it looks better without, and doubling the line art made things seem a little too "cartoony". I almost made the wall lights include blue, but then decided not to because I felt too many people would have had "Electronic Simon" flashbacks :XD:

Now colored, this really makes me wish they did this kind of thing in Voltron/GoLion. I hope all of you fans of those shows enjoy this, and as for the rest of you, I hope you do too.

XD I just remember him in the show watching some belly dancers and saying. Soon Princess Allura will be mine and she will dance for my pleasure XD HAHA right on man.

You are correct - although Allura did get tied up once, and handcuffed (or some similar wrist restraint device) a couple times.

dAers out there need to use fanart to create all the scenes they should have done but never did ;p

I like it a lot, JC ^_^ I vaguely remember these characters, and it's a fitting DID scenario. I love the hogtie, but you already know that ^^;;; I love the little mouse in the corner, that was a regular character, wasn't it? Your coloring is getting better. Thank you for sharing! ^_^

Yes, the Mouse was named Cheddar (Platt in the original GoLion series). If you look close enough, however, you will see that chewing through Allura's/Fala's ropes to help her escape while the Prince is distracted won't be as easy.
