After managing to defeat Ayako's groovy fighting style, Erina thought that she would have a chance to grab a breather in her dressing room. But then another challenger, Kaori, came out of nowhere with a flying kick.
Ticked off that she didn't even get a chance to grab a drink or a towel, Erina relied on her dirty street fighting tactics to keep Kaori's legs at bay and then stunned her with a flurry of fists to her midsection. Erina saw that Ayako was beginning to stir just as Kaori fell dazed to the mat, and then decided that there was only one way she'd get a breather tonight.
Good thing there was some rope underneath the ring! Ayako tried to twist out of Erina's ties, but she was still too tired from the battle with her. As she protested to be set free, Erina took out a long cloth and forced it between her teeth, tying it behind her head. Demoralized, Ayako's weakening struggles only tightened the knots of her hogtie.
Erina knew that she had to move fast to keep this chick with the glasses secured before she came to her senses. Still reeling a bit from the power of her legs and feet, she tied them together first, and even though Kaori was already regaining some energy, she knew that her arms were not nearly as strong, and it took only a couple quick knots to secure them, and then a last rope completed her hogtie as well.
Despite Kaori's wriggling, Erina's ropework was tight enough, and no knots were within reach of her fingers. As Erina tugged on the final knot, she thought to herself "I'd better be getting overtime pay for this one!" and stalked down the aisle to the roaring fans towards her Bunny Girl entourage...
Ok, I went off again on another long-winded setup, but this was just too much fun! Variable Geo pretty much had almost everything in it for somebody with tastes like mine, such as a fighting game with cute girls, they were all WAITRESSES with sexy uniforms, great Anime style, and even got a bit naughty in certain incarnations of the game. A must try if you've never played the game. There is an Anime out there too, but it is kinda cheesy and not very good, although plenty of fanservice for everyone to go around!
The art process:
Erina Goldsmith: Despite her being a Bunny Girl, she actually isn't my favorite in the game. She sports the typical Bunny Girl ears, but has an interesting short hairstyle, brass knuckles, running sneakers (!!!), and a lighter to fire things up held between her way too enormous "assets". Armed with a good set of references, the only challenge for her was picking a cute yet "down to business" facial expression, and then getting her legs and feet to look right in the kneeling position I chose.
Ayako Yuuki: A flashy waitress, I initially didn't really like her much until I saw her personality in the Anime. She seems more mature than almost all of the rest with her mature frame, lipstick, and elegant moves, but also her naughty side towards the other competitors. It's also peculiar how she just about never opens her eyes enough to see anything but her eyelashes, so I stayed with that idea. Her outfit is a bit complicated, but as I put her behind Kaori, I didn't have room to show much. Her "shirt" and hair were the most difficult by far.
Kaori Yanase: Kaori's my gal. She's a computer and internet junkie, a cute waitress, a tae kwon do master, and is one of the cutest girls in glasses out there. I have been meaning to feature her for a while, but it took me a long time to come up with a scenario, and when I did, I couldn't JUST draw her alone. The hardest thing to draw on her is her interesting toe-less "socks" and her fingerless gloves, but I also tinkered with her body more than once, but in Variable Geo, it seems that all of the gals pretty much are draw with thinner bodies and limbs than even Anime-normal. So I stuck with what you see here. Otherwise, she wasn't too hard to draw, once I got the shape of her eyeglasses correct.
The Scene: Why are they fighting in a wrestling ring if they aren't fighting Jun? Beats me, but it made sense at the time. I stole the overhead lights from Ayako's stage in the game, and the "blobs" in the chintzy background are supposed to be spectators that I just didn't feel like fleshing out. Othewise, I threw my typical extra eye candy in various places around the sketch.
Now the most of my moving is complete, soon I will be back to a more normal workload, but for now, what do you all think of this one???
Hmm, yes, I remember this. Though I heard of the OAV years before I heard about the game that spawned it. Ah, those heady days when anything cming down the ADV pipe was fresh and new to me XD
I've heard about this game from other sources, and I've watched a three-part anime as well...I think this probably the one thing the programmers never thought of as far as humiliating the loser goes. (Which, if you are as familiar with this as I think, is very considerable.)

I know, and they should have. They could have even gotten a little naughty with it, say, like with some over the clothes touchy-feely while the loser is hogtied...man that would have been a great feature for the game!!!
